Comment spam: it sucks. Anyone that owns a blog knows how annoying it is going through comment spam everyday. It’s more time consuming than email spam, since it takes a little longer to sift through (for me anyway, using WordPress).

File this one under “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Just finished up an article about a truly unique and innovative environmental conservation effort at Freecycle.org. The concept is actually an obvious one, yet somehow hasn’t been done before: 1) people who no longer want an item post a message on their local freecycle website 2) Anyone that wants the item responds 3) The owner of the item decides who gets it, and the new owner comes to collect it.

It finally rained here in Phoenix yesterday after almost 150 days without rain. Once it started to come down, it didn’t let up until well after nightfall.

Since it was raining, I figured I’d stay in and work on something just for fun; a project that I would never normally work on because it doesn’t pay the bills. As I mentioned before in a previous post, I’m definitely not a programmer but I do enjoy figuring things out first-hand and on my own. To me programming is like solving a complex puzzle; even though I do get frustrated and lost frequently, I still enjoy it.

I probably shouldn’t post here while pissed off, but I just received one of the lamest telemarketing calls ever.

The message on my voicemail starts as if the caller was cut off while mentioning the URL he was calling about (I run so many sites that I haven’t a clue which one he was looking at), and then gives me the following “bad news”:

Is it proper English to use “an” in front of SEO? My English teachers would be upset that I don’t remember that one. It just doesn’t seem correct as “A SEO”.

Anyway, the following information is old but definitely applies to internet marketing and SEO.
